Since founding my flute lesson studio in 2012, I have been dedicated to

teaching a curriculum that allows students to playfully & confidently learn the flute.

It is a joy to guide students towards an ever increasing sense of musical fluency

 

Each lesson teaches students how to improve their technique — often resulting in increased enjoyment and less struggle. My top priority is to guide students towards a fluent understanding of music interpretation and instrumental technique​​​

I work with students of all ages, abilities, and levels: 

k-12, adults and professionals are all welcome

​

Alexander Technique lessons for instrumentalists are offered, as well!

​

One-on-One lessons are taught in several locations and formats:

​

• Lesson Studio in Midtown Manhattan by Penn Station (NYC - 10001 zip)

• In-home in Manhattan, Brooklyn & New Jersey (30-40 min from Penn Station)

• Occasional in-person lessons and workshops in Palm Beach County, FL

• Virtually for students around the globe

• Hybrid -- a combination of in-person & virtual lessons. I will work with you to create a plan that works best for our mutual schedules
   

Our students are invited to participate in events throughout the year, including

our Annual Spring Recital, Virtual and In-person Studio Classes,

and Guest Master Classes / Events

Flute Lesson topics cover:

​

• How to play the flute with ease and confidence

• Fundamentals of technique and musical interpretation

• Solo Repertoire

• Music Theory and Historical Studies

• Basic Piano Skills

• Ensemble Repertoire and Orchestral Excerpts

• Audition Preparation (ie: School Programs; Preparatory Programs; Competitions; NYSMA; All-State; College Auditions)

 

Students can expect to learn a variety of life skills, including:

• balance, poise and healthy mindsets

• how to practice a skill

• time management 

• the achievement of short & long term goals

• performance confidence

In our initial consultation, let's meet briefly to discuss any goals and general objectives. We will also discuss my teaching philosophy, studio policies, tuition costs, and mutual availabilities for our first session. ​​​​
